With so many good choices of churches to attend, why should you choose Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church? We think the answer is simple: We are a haven for traditional, Spirit-filled worship; a home where you can not only go, but also grow in your Christian walk; and we have a heart to serve others through our services and ministries. The best word that can be used to describe our congregation is “Family.” We invite you to come be part of our ever-growing family by joining us in our worship, service, and other activities.

We have a traditional worship service every Sunday morning at 11:00 A.M. Sunday Evenings are reserved for our special mission projects such as our Brookwood Villa Ministry. The place we have witnessed the most growth has been in our Wednesday Night Bible Study which meets each Wednesday night at 6:00 P.M.

If you are looking for ways to serve Christ, Pleasant Grove provides many opportunities for a diverse and varied Christian experience. At present we engage in monthly services at Brookwood Villa, a monthly outreach visitation program,  a “goodies” booth at Bertie's that helps fund our projects, a weekly radio ministry (every Sunday morning at 7:00 A.M. on WABO 105.5), an annual Christmas dinner for Senior Citizens, and many other activities. We also offer a wide range of special seasonal services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Sunrise Service, Homecoming Sunday, Special Recognition Services for Graduation, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas socials, and many more.

We invite you to be a part of God’s kingdom in this world and part of our local family by worshiping, growing, and serving with us. We hope to see you soon!

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”

(Ephesians 2:19-22)
