     The United Methodist Women's group at Pleasant Grove meets the second Monday of each
month. The average attendance for each meeting is 10-12 ladies. This year we will start a new
Bible study, "Bad Girls of the Bible". Our Business meeting will begin at 6:30, followed by our
Bible study and refreshments. We offer child care to promote greater attendance.
     The UMW continues to play an important role in overall church business. Recently we raised
money for a new gym floor. The UMW hosted our annual yard sale in May, and has presented
Bibles to the graduating students and infant/toddlers of the church. The UMW also hosted a
silent auction along with our annual fish fry. The UMW continues to host wedding and baby
showers for church members and their families, as well as assisting in fellowship meals for
families in the church who have lost loved ones.
     2007 was a busy year for the UMW group, and the following events are anticipated for 2008:
silent auction fund raiser during church fish fry, yard sale, foster family movie night, Christmas
meeting with cookie swap and delivery of cookies to shut-ins, and the possibility of a first time
women's retreat.
